HI! Welcome to Farrell's! Health and fitness have always been important to me. When I was just a baby, my mom died (in her 40's) from breast cancer. While I didn't fully understand the awful disease, I did grow up understanding the importance of staying in good shape. Therefore, I did all that I could do to stay healthy. I enjoyed playing competitive sports throughout high school and college; and, after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Community Health, I continued my love of fitness by training for marathons.
Before I knew it, I was married with three beautiful - busy - children. Chasing kids became my focus. While I endeavored to do what I could - when I could fit it in - to continue to stay healthy, it was easy to let time slip away. Before joining Farrell's, I took a good look at myself in a mirror. The startling truth was that over the years I had let my own health and fitness slide and without even realizing it, I had gained 25 pounds. I was more out of shape than ever before. I was in a slump and I knew I had to get moving and get in control of my health once again. With the encouragement of friends who were fit members, I stepped out and gave Farrell's a try.
